Introducing Dr. Chempanal

Linda Chempanal, Psy.D., is a postdoctoral fellow who is passionate about helping clients build stronger, healthier relationships—whether through early developmental work with youth and trauma-informed, relational work with individuals, couples, and their families. Dr. Chempanal’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. She draws from relational, psychodynamic, and emotion-focused frameworks, and incorporates evidence-based strategies, including the Gottman method for couples, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and attachment-focused interventions. She is committed to walking alongside her clients with empathy and cultural humility, empowering children, teens, and couples to thrive in their relationships and within themselves.

As a first-generation Asian Indian American, Dr. Chempanal brings a culturally attuned lens to therapy, honoring the intersections of identity, family, and culture in each client’s mental health journey. She has experience supporting individuals and families through concerns such as emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, identity development, behavioral challenges, life transitions, and intergenerational conflict. In her couples therapy work, she helps partners deepen emotional connection, strengthen communication, and work through relational distress. In addition to therapy, she has specialized training in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on cognitive functioning, attention difficulties, academic performance, mood concerns, and diagnostic clarification.
