INTRODUCING DR. BRAGGS

Dr. Marvin Braggs is a dedicated and compassionate therapist committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their inner worlds, process challenges, and achieve personal growth. He believes in the inherent resilience of each person and empowers clients to develop self-awareness, effective coping strategies, and a deeper understanding of themselves. His collaborative, client-centered approach ensures that therapy is tailored to each individual’s unique needs, goals, and values. With expertise in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and client-centered counseling, Dr. Braggs works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing challenges like anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. He is particularly passionate about providing affirming care for LGBTQ clients, supporting individuals healing from religious trauma, and promoting emotional well-being through culturally competent and inclusive practices.

Education and Career Background

Dr. Braggs completed his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at California Southern University. He also holds a Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration with an emphasis on Organizational Leadership from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with a minor in Psychology, from Columbia College. His clinical experience includes providing individual, couples, and group therapy for culturally diverse clients facing concerns such as interpersonal violence, bullying, emotional disturbances, and identity development. Dr. Braggs has also conducted psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. He remains committed to ongoing professional development and delivering compassionate, inclusive care that empowers clients to achieve meaningful change. Dr. Braggs is a postdoctoral fellow at Great Life Counselling Center under the supervision of Dr. Kevin C. Lambert, Psy.D., MBA.
