Introducing Dr. Hill

Dr. Yafa Hill, Psy.D., MPH, is a postdoctoral fellow that believes in meeting clients where they are and building a foundation of trust through fostering a strong therapeutic alliance. Dr. Hill’s warm, relational approach, interest in exploring existential/faith issues, and great sense of humor facilitate a safe, welcoming space for each of her clients.

Dr. Hill’s clinical specialties include: trauma informed care, adult and adolescent therapy, couple’s therapy, and faith/spirituality. She is also passionate about conducting psychological evaluations with adults and children/adolescents with an emphasis on cognitive, academic, personality, and mood concerns. Dr. Hill has experience with a variety of presenting concerns such as: PTSD, Bi-polar, anxiety, and depression.

Educational and Career Background

Dr. Hill received her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Nebraska Mental Health Centers in Lincoln, NE, where she provided therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples in an outpatient setting and led a DBT skills group and a women’s trauma group. She also conducted psychological evaluations in an outpatient setting. Dr. Hill has worked in various settings including community mental health, private practice, probation facility, schools, and a hospital setting. Dr. Hill is a postdoctoral fellow at Great Life Counseling Center under the supervision of Dr. Kevin C. Lambert, Psy.D., MBA.
