Introducing DR. BENNETT
DeWone Bennett, Psy.D., LPC-S, NCC is a postdoctoral fellow who joins the Great Life Counseling Center team with over 18 years of extensive training and experience working with adolescents and adults as a licensed professional counselor.
Dr. Bennett provides treatment that is backed by research and tailored to best fit the needs of his clients. He is particularly trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT), EMDR, and the Gottman method for couples, to name a few. He is also a National Certified Counselor, LPC-Supervisor, and a corporate EAP counselor and trainer.
Educational and Career Background
Dr. Bennett has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Langston University. He also achieved a second master’s degree from Oklahoma State University in school psychology. Dr. Bennett completed his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at California Southern University. While in pursuit of his license to practice as a psychologist, Dr. Bennett will serve as a postdoctoral fellow for Great Life Counselling Center under the supervision of Kevin C. Lambert, Psy.D., MBA.
