Ms. Silvestry believes every client arrives already carrying strengths, and her work is aimed at putting those strengths to use as clients come to understand themselves more clearly, build healthier ways of coping, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Originally from Puerto Rico, Ms. Silvestry is a native Spanish speaker and offers therapy in both Spanish and English. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive, creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely supported \u2014 and where the language a client thinks and feels in is the language they can do the work in. She draws on evidence-based practices and tailors her approach to each client&#8217;s needs, goals, and cultural background. Ms. Silvestry is also experienced in psychological assessment with children and<br \/>\nadolescents, and her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, adjustment concerns, and child and family mental health.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #d49c35;\"><strong><u>Educational and Career Background<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Ms. Silvestry is pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Ponce Health Sciences University. Across her doctoral training she has provided individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient settings, delivering evidence-based interventions for a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns. She has administered and interpreted cognitive, personality, behavioral, and neuropsychological measures, and has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate client care. Her training also spans clinical interviewing, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Silvestry is passionate about expanding access to quality mental health care for Spanish- speaking families and for culturally diverse communities more broadly. She values therapeutic relationships built on empathy, respect, and collaboration, and she is dedicated to helping clients build resilience, improve their emotional well-being, and reach the goals that matter most to them. Ms. Silvestry is supervised by and bills her services under the license of her primary supervisor, Kevin C.
