Deborah Galindo, Psy.D. is a Postdoctoral fellow at GLCC. Dr. Galindo has a passion for walking alongside her clients and providing support through collaborative clinical work. She strives to empower clients with an overarching goal to help them have a fulfilled life and meaningful relationships. She has been described by her clients as warm, genuine, understanding, and relatable.
Dr. Galindo enjoys working with couples and families; individuals who are in times of transition in their lives; issues of identity; multicultural and diverse populations, including the LGBT community; anxiety; depression; trauma. In addition to therapy, Dr. Galindo provides psychological testing and didactic workshops. She has extensive research and clinical experience working with the Latino population and is pleased to offer services in both English and Spanish.
Educational and Career Background
In 2007, Dr. Galindo earned her B.A. in Psychology and French from Pepperdine University. After completing her undergraduate studies, she immediately started her graduate degree program.
In 2016, Dr. Galindo received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University in Portland, Oregon. She completed her predoctoral internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care in Piscatway, New Jersey. Dr. Galindo has experience working with individuals, couples, and groups from an interpersonal perspective. Dr. Galindo is supervised by Dr. Kevin Lambert as she completes her postdoctoral clinical hours needed to obtain full licensure in the state of Texas (anticipated August 2017).
