INTRODUCING DR. JORDAN

Dr. Jantel Jordan is a postdoctoral fellow who works from an integrative approach emphasizing multi-cultural, relational, interpersonal, and family systems practices in therapy.  Dr. Jordan believes the key to an effective healing environment is high quality therapeutic relationships with each client or family.  Dr. Jordan strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental, caring, and warm environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their issues as they work toward bringing their life back into balance. Dr. Jordan’s collaborative and rather laid back disposition puts clients at ease as she guides them through the therapeutic process at a tailored pace.  Dr. Jordan’s interests include: child and adolescent developmental issues, family and couples issues, sexual and gender identity and expression issues, trauma/abuse, and health and wellness education.

Education and Career Background

Dr. Jordan received a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University-Tampa.  Dr. Jordan completed a APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the University of Texas-Dallas student counseling center.  Dr. Jordan completed a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Adolescent Therapy from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University-Atlanta in 2011.  Dr. Jordan also has a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University-Atlanta. Dr. Jordan has over ten years of experience working in the mental health field.  Dr. Jordan has worked in a variety of settings ranging from community mental health, juvenile drug court, private practice, child abuse centers, public and private schools, and college counseling.  In these settings, Dr. Jordan provided individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, online counseling, consultations, outreach programming, and testing services for disability, forensic, neuropsychological, and parenting evaluations, etc.  Dr. Jordan is a postdoctoral fellow at Great Life Counseling Center under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Lambert, Psy.D., MBA.
